Under-sink water filtration installed by Anderson Plumbing and Gas Fitting in Kelowna

Okanagan water quality varies a lot depending on where you are and whether you're on municipal supply or a well. Hard water that leaves scale and spots, a chlorine taste, sediment, or simply wanting cleaner drinking water are all common reasons to treat your water, and the right setup depends on what's actually in it and what you want to fix.

We handle the full range: point-of-use reverse osmosis for drinking water, whole-home filtration that treats every tap, and water softeners that take the hardness out so your fixtures, appliances and skin all notice the difference. Whatever the system, it's tied cleanly into your existing plumbing and done properly, so it works the way it should and stays easy to service down the road.

What we handle

Water softeners

Softeners that pull the calcium and magnesium out of hard water, so you get less scale on fixtures and appliances, better lather, and water that is easier on everything it touches.

Reverse-osmosis drinking water

Under-sink RO systems that strip out dissolved solids, chlorine and contaminants for clean, great-tasting drinking and cooking water, with a dedicated tap at the sink.

Whole-home filtration

Filtration at the point where water enters the home, so every tap, shower and appliance runs on cleaner water, not just the kitchen.

Service & filter changes

Swapping filters and membranes, topping up softener salt, and sorting out an existing system that has stopped performing, so you keep getting clean, soft water without the guesswork.

Worth treating your water if you notice:

  • Scale, spotting or buildup on glasses, fixtures, kettles and appliances
  • Soap and detergent that will not lather well
  • Water that tastes or smells of chlorine
  • Dry skin and hair, or stiff laundry, from hard water
  • You're buying bottled water, or you're on a well

Questions, answered

Do I need a water softener or a filter?

They fix different things. A softener removes the hardness minerals that cause scale and spotting; a filter or reverse-osmosis system removes chlorine, sediment and contaminants for cleaner, better-tasting water. Plenty of Okanagan homes benefit from both. We'll look at your water and tell you straight what's worth doing.

Can you install a system I already bought?

Usually, yes. If you've picked a softener or filtration system, we can install it and tie it cleanly into your plumbing, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's the right fit for your water before it goes in.

How much maintenance do these need?

Not much. Softeners need salt topped up now and then; most cartridge filters are roughly every six to twelve months and RO membranes last a few years. We can set it all up and handle the upkeep so you don't have to track it.
